The Founder
I'm Alexa (27), the founder of Whim Wardrobe. I have loved fashion for as long as I can remember. My core childhood memories include watching Project Runway with my parents and vigorously rating the looks at the mere age of 8.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2021, with a Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparels, & Textiles; I started working in the industry, always with the dream of starting my own fashion brand. But nothing ever felt quite right.
After spending most of my 20's finding my own personal style, I am excited to share my true, authentic designs with the world through Whim.
The Mission
Getting dressed used to be fun. Reaching into your closet and curating a colorful outfit for the day felt like an art - a form of self-expression, really. So what happened?
Our closets have become so squished with seasonal micro-trends, thin polyester, and athleisure that getting dressed feels more like a chore than a hobby.
Whim Wardrobe's mission is to bring back color, quality, and self-expression. We design clothes made of pure textiles, timeless styles that can be worn and passed down for generations. Styles that are easy to throw on, and feel comfortable, yet offer an elevated look.
